Equipment List:

1. Pasco 750 Lab interface with the following sensors:
• Motion Detector (C1.1) with cord (C1.H) (plug yellowcord into DG1, plug black cord into DG2)
2. 2-meter stick (A1)
3. Pasco 2.2 m track (T2) (elevation clamp on 45 cm rod (A1), small Universal clamp (C20.4) to table)
4. 1-Pasco collision cart (C2.1)

Notes and tests:

1. The Motion detector should be set behind the cart stopper so the cart doesn't knock it off.
2. Start “2305_Lab1_RTP1_test1.ds”. Move the collision cart in front of the motion detector and see if the program detects it.
3. The track should be set up so that the measuring tape is toward the front of the table. The track should be set back from the front of the table about half the width of the table to allow for work space.
4. No friction pads are used in this lab.
