Use a large universal clamp to attach 45 cm rod vertically. Mount the motion detector on the rod and rotate it until it detects the motion of the moving cart.

Attach the end of each of the springs between the end post and the hooks on the cart.

Plug the motion detector cables into the Pasco 750 interface. The yellow cable should be in DG1 and the black in DG2.
