Complex Driven Systems

From Statistical Physics to the Life Sciences

Oct. 1-3, 2010

Virginia Tech

The purpose of this international seminar is to present the recent advances in our understanding of statistical physics far from equilibrium and to highlight the growing importance of its application to biological and soft matter systems.

A special session will be held in honor of Prof. Royce Zia in order to celebrate his outstanding achievements in 40 years of research in fields as diverse as particle physics, statistical physics, nonequilibrium physics, and biological physics.
