Textbooks for Self-Learning Physics Modules

The following calculus-based introductory physics textbooks are utilized in the Self-Learning Physics Modules. You only need to have one textbook; at the Blackboard Module there is a "study track" for each textbook. If you have or can get a later edition of one of these books, that would be fine as well.

If you have a later edition of one of the textbooks listed above, then the chapters you need to study will most likely be numbered exactly as on the module webpage. Indeed, the text itself may not have changed substantially from one edition to the next. The problems may also be similar, or have changed only slightly. If you do a good sampling of the questions and problems for each section you will be fine. As always, it might be useful to concentrate on the problems that have solutions in the back of the textbook. That way you can check your work. Remember, your question and problem solutions must be presented to Module Administrator.

If you don't have access to any of these textbooks, or their later editions, you can also use other textbooks.
