Dr. Read Montague selected to deliver TEDGlobal 2012 talk
 Dr. Read Montague, professor of physics and director of the Human Neuroimaging Laboratory at the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute (VTCRI), has been selected to be a TEDGlobal speaker at the
Edinburgh, Scotland TEDGlobal 2012 "Radical Openness" program that will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2012. The program will run from 9:00-11:00 A.M. (EDT) and will be broadcast live to the VTCRI.
Dr. Montague's presentation will begin at 9:15 A.M.. The broadcast can only be viewed live at an authorized TEDGlobal site, such as VTCRI. The presentations will be available for free download at a future date and
time from TED, not yet determined.
The session, titled "Misbehaving Beautifully", will address the function and malfunctions of the human mind. Speakers include a well-known mental health legal scholar, healthcare advocate,
dancer, comedian and visual effects expert, along with Dr. Montague as the featured neuroscientist presenting his ground-breaking work on the healthy human brain and behavior, featuring the Roanoke Virginia Brain
Study.
