Views seen from cameras in Borexino:

These movies simulate the filling of Borexino with water. They are large so should only be viewed from a high speed connection.

In these movies, the water liquid level (n=1.33) is indicated by white lines along the x and y axes. Note that reflection of light on the water surface is also accounted for, therefore sometimes you will see multiples of items. Images are taken by camera 1 every 5 cm during filling.

The first set has an actual picture of the SSS overlaid, which is helpful to to visualize the optical effects of light reflection and refraction. The IV is represented by the blueish ballon.

The second set is without overlay. The red vessel is the IV, with bright red endcaps. The green vessel is the OV, with bright green endcaps. The PMTs are indicated in blue by a circle defining the entrance to the light concentrators, a circle defining the photocathode, and a spot where they mount to the SSS. The white dots are the camera position.
