M88: Nonlinear Oscillator

Purpose: To demonstrate nonlinear oscillation.

Description:

Observe the chaotic motion of a point on a disc with this apparatus consisting of two springs and motor which can turn at varying speeds powered by a low voltage power supply. The motion of this demonstration can also be studied in detail by hooking it up to our Science Workshop Interface and looking at the data on a computer.

Video of oscillator functioning is broken for now. (note for Henry: video is located in images folder)
