Hi Juliette:

I would venture to bet that if the "goatee" is just the result of using 
Willie's field map then you should be able to 
"tweak" the magnet current and/or detector location along Z and make it go 
away - getting back to pretty much what you 
were seeing. Unless there is some other serious differences between the the 
two field models! If possible we should tune 
for a "goatee" free image when designing the detectors and collimator.
