My simulation results shows that adding a shielding wall may not reduce the inelastic electron background. I check two processes. One is e + p -> e + p (elastic); another is e + p -> e + n + pi+ (inelastic). Also, I found I got a smaller mean Q^2 (0.02375) than Juliette 09/30 results (0.028), even if we are using the same euclid and bash file. It is strange. Here is a link to my results, http://www.jlab.org/~yl0094a/Qweak_SCIN/status_report/status_10072004.html Best regards, Yongguang ******************************************************** * Yongguang Liang Tel: (757)269-5333 (office) * * Trailer 11A Room 2 Email:yl0094a@jlab.org * * Jefferson Lab * * 12000 Jefferson Ave. * * Newport News, VA 23606 * ********************************************************
