Department Immigration Processing Policy

To ensure sufficient time for departmental review, approvals, and preparation before submission to Global Strategic Services (GSS), the Physics Department requires that all immigration requests be submitted to the department at least 30 days before GSS's required submission deadlines.

This means you must provide complete requests no later than 75 days before the employee or visitor's intended start date.

Requests received after these internal deadlines may not be processed in time to meet GSS requirements and could result in emergency processing fees or delayed start dates. You are encouraged to begin the immigration process as early as possible to avoid unnecessary delays and additional costs.
