Graduate Physics Student Society (GPSS)

GPSS Potluck, Summer 2023

The Graduate Physics Student Society (GPSS) is a registered student organization that focusses on uniting and encouraging graduate physics students in three main areas:

  • Academics/student life:  (e.g., practicing public talks, organizing mock qualifying exams, hosting guest speakers)
  • Social engagement: (e.g., hosting chess tournaments, potluck dinners, group hiking trips, movie nights, and virtual happy hours)
  • Community outreach: (e.g., participating in Relay for Life, activities with residents of local retirement homes)
